Marcia Kay Foote (1967 – 2017)

Marcia Kay Foote, 49, of Montpelier passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at her home.

She was born on December 19, 1967 in Bryan to David M. and Marjorie R. (Oehring) Briner. Marcia graduated from North Central High School in 1986. On July 7, 2000, she married Anthony J. Foote at George Bible Park in Montpelier and he survives.

Marcia worked for Pioneer Transformer for nearly 30 years. Growing up she was active with the Williams County 4-H group and during high school she was a member of the band. Marcia formerly attended First Presbyterian Church in Montpelier. She lived for her children and loved to attend all of their school and sporting events. Marcia will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her husband Anthony “A.J.” Foote; children Mason Anthony Foote and Katelynn Rose Foote both of Montpelier; three brothers, Douglas M. Briner, Daniel M. Briner and Robert (Kelley) Briner all of Montpelier; one sister Lynn (William) Patrick of Montpelier; numerous nieces and nephews; other family members and good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A time to receive friends will be on Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Thompson-Geesey Funeral Home on Empire Street in Montpelier. A memorial service will take place immediately following calling hours at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend David Tilly to officiate. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
