County and Jill Stechschulte, Fulton County who planned, organized and conducted the event held at 4-H Camp Palmer, Fayette, Ohio on May 11th.

The program covered what every princess needs to know. The focus of the program included self-esteem, self-confidence, inner beauty, poise and grace, cultural customs, table manners and etiquette. Activities included making princess mermaid tails, mermaid dolls, attending a tea party and much more.

Teresa Hillis of Defiance was a guest presenter who shared with the girls the importance of being beautiful on the inside out. Teresa Hillis is a Henry County native and is a 1993 graduate from Napoleon High School. She is a Marine Corps Veteran and a member of the Detachment #758 Marine Corp League. Teresa resides in Napoleon with her husband (Jerry) and two teenage boys. She was recently crowned Elegant Ms. Ohio 2013 (a Christian based pageant system) in April and will be competing in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for a National title in July of this year.

The Princess Tea Party preceded lunch where the ladies learned about manners and the importance of etiquette. The girls attended the Tea Party dressed up in their princess dresses with bling and tiaras. Embroidered tea napkins with the Princess Camp logo were given to each princess. The napkins were made by Elaine Wirick, Defiance County 4-H volunteer. Parents and family members attended the very special Princess Graduation Ceremony held at the end of the camp. The princesses were presented with a certificate, photo, shell necklace, tiara and wand.[/emember_protected]
