Fayette has always been a community that accepts everyone and helps anyone.  With the current economic situation, we believe there is no better time to come together to assist our community. Be on alert for the second annual “FAYETTE YOUTH INVASTION 2013”.

The 6 area Fayette churches are uniting to make a positive difference in our community, and surrounding area, and allowing our youth to lead the charge.  This mission trip is scheduled to take place August 4-6, 2013.  Youth and their chaperones will live in the Fayette School for these three days. From the school, they will go out each day to their designated work areas.

The area churches and youth leaders have been meeting and organizing activities and work sites. The youth will have a faith filled experience while at the school and extending that experience out into the village and community to assist with those in need.

The team would like to involve everyone who wishes to take part in this experience, as either a volunteer or as a recipient of a donation of time and labor to complete your needed work project.
We are currently looking for commitments of assistance in the form of time donated, work supplies, equipment, or money. The level of involvement, understandably, would be the decision of each volunteer. Please note that all donations should be made through one the 6 area Fayette churches. All donations of this type will be tax deductible.

For those who request their home or property to be considered as a possible work site for jr. hi, and high school students and their chaperones, please be advised that each request will be evaluated and deemed as a possible work site only after inspection and evaluation of the committee. Safety is a must and acceptance for a work site will be determined on a case-by-case evaluation. No youth will be allowed to complete any roofing projects.

Possible work projects can include, but not limited to:

  • Landscaping
  • Yard work
  • Interior house painting
  • Exterior house painting
  • House cleaning
  • Helping Hands Food Pantry and St. V’s
  • The Village of Fayette
  • Light construction projects are possible; each be considered and evaluated individually

If you would like to assist in the project, or request an on-site evaluation for work site eligibility, please contact your local church or:
