In a heartfelt announcement shared on social media, the beloved local florist Floral Designs has confirmed it will close its doors after more than a decade of serving the community.
For 11 years, Floral Designs has been much more than a flower shop. It has been a cornerstone of Edgerton life. The shop crafted stunning arrangements for life’s greatest joys—weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, and “just because” surprises.
It was also there for the community’s most poignant moments, including funerals and bereavement tributes. The shop offered full-service floristry, casket sprays, unique gift options, and a personal touch that made every delivery feel special.
The announcement, posted by the team, read in part:
“After 11 wonderful years in downtown Edgerton, we are announcing the closing of Floral Designs. This decision wasn’t easy, but as we move on to new chapters in our lives, we want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for your support, loyalty, and kindness over the years.
From weddings to funerals, birthdays to ‘just because’ moments, it has been an honor to be part of your lives and your special memories.
We are so grateful for the trust you placed in us to bring beauty and joy to your most important occasions.
While it’s bittersweet to say goodbye, we leave with full hearts, knowing we’ve been part of such an amazing community. Thank you, Edgerton, for 11 unforgettable years.
With love and gratitude, The Floral Designs Team – Celeste & Julie”
Community response has been overwhelmingly warm and emotional. Friends, neighbors, and longtime customers flooded the post with messages of appreciation and sadness.
One commenter reflected:
“You have poured so much blood, sweat, and tears into your business. You and Celeste truly were an incredible team. What you did for people was so much more than ‘just flowers’ — you were part of their happiest celebrations and their hardest goodbyes. That’s what small towns are all about, Jules.”
Others echoed similar sentiments, praising the shop’s creativity, dependability, and personal service. Many highlighted how the duo’s warmth turned routine flower orders into meaningful connections, and wished them well in whatever comes next.
A closing sale began on February 16 and continues while supplies last through February 21, offering residents one last chance to purchase arrangements, gifts, and more from the shop.
As Edgerton says goodbye to Floral Designs, the community reflects on the irreplaceable role that small, family-run businesses play in weaving the fabric of small-town life.
