NEW MEMBER … The Kiwanis Club of Bryan welcomed yet another new member last week — Steve Mantel. Steve is now a retired pharmacist after a 50-year career. He and his family have lived here in Bryan since 1991. He noted that in his career he was almost never allowed a vacation, as a pharmacist always needs to be on duty, unless the pharmacy employs multiple pharmacists. Now, with his retirement, he is looking forward to being able to serve the community through organizations like Kiwanis. The club is thrilled to welcome him into its ranks and is confident he will be a great asset to its efforts to serve the youth of Bryan.
