Alice Delight Mull, age 88, of Wauseon, passed away early Thursday morning, December 17, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Alice was born in AI, Ohio on November 27, 1927 to the late Clarence and Letha (Clapper) Shelt. She was a 1946 graduate of Delta High School and married her high school sweetheart, Ora Lowell Mull on February 28, 1948 in Delta and he survives. They enjoyed 67 years of a blessed marriage together. After raising her children, she worked at Fulton Industries for 19 years.
Alice loved her children and grandchildren and her heart will remain in theirs forever. She was a member of Delta United Methodist Church, where for many years she was in charge of handling the funeral dinners. She also went on many youth mission trips with the church, was a volunteer at Care and Share in Archbold and was a cherry coat volunteer for Fulton County Health Center. She enjoyed being around people, cooking, and most of all caring for her grandchildren.
Left to cherish in her memory in addition to her loving husband Lowell, are her sons Allan (Deanne) Mull & Kevin (Dawn) Mull and her daughters, Dianne (Joe) Leu & Linda (David) Borck; grandchildren Scott (Kim) Mull, Amy (Todd) Warncke, Lori (Mark) Goertz, Justin (Shannon) Leu, Ryan Leu, Sean Mull, Valerie (Brent) Pontious and Derek Mull; step-grandchildren, Joe Gonzalez & Kattie (Kadri) Ari; great-grandchildren, McCormick & Eli Warncke, Gracie & Lilie Mull, Gabriel, Samuel & Olivia Goertz, Jackson & Greyson Leu; step-great-grandchildren, Dylan & Emma Gonzalez and her brother Clarence (Maxine) Shelt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter Tammy Kay, and two brothers, Keith & Don Shelt. Friends will be received from 2-8 PM on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109, Delta.
A funeral service honoring Alice will be held at 11 AM on Monday, December 21, 2015 at Delta United Methodist Church with visitation starting at 10 AM. Pastor Teresa Wenrick will be officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Delta.
