Alonzo R. “Bob” ClarkAlonzo R. “Bob” Clark, age 98, of Stryker, passed away Saturday morning, January 2, 2016 at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold. Prior to his retirement he had been an oil distributor and a school bus driver. Bob was also an inventor and held two patents related to fuel pumps.

Bob was born in Bryan, Ohio on July 9, 1917, the son of Joseph Plummer and Mina (Hyatt) Clark. On November 22, 1939 he married Georgia E. “Midge” Davis, and she survives. He was a member of the Stryker United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy in WWII and was a member of the Stryker American Legion Post. He had also served as a volunteer fireman for the Springfield Township Fire Department, and was a member of the Stryker Rotary Club.

Surviving, besides his wife, Midge, is one son, Larry E. (Jean) Clark of Caro, MI; and one daughter, Louise Clark of Napoleon. He was preceded in death by two sisters; Marian Scantlen, and Helen Dunn.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be given to the Filling Home in Napoleon or Quadco Rehabilitation Center. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com  [showad block=2]
