(1970 Graduate Of Montpelier High School)

Anna Lee Kelly, 74, of Montpelier, Ohio, passed away peacefully at Parkview Regional Medical Center on Feb. 5, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous four-year battle with cancer.

This past year was especially difficult, but we are grateful for the extra time her doctors gave us and for the wonderful care she received.

Anna was born on Nov. 25, 1951, in Montpelier, Ohio, to Harold L. and Ruth J. (Merrifield) Suffel. She graduated from Montpelier High School in 1970 and later attended Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she pursued her passion for art.

On June 14, 1985, she married Paul S. Kelly in Montpelier, Ohio. Together they shared 40 years of marriage filled with love, family, and many cherished memories.
Anna was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Paul S. Kelly of Montpelier; her children, Abigail (Cris) Wurm of Montpelier, Matthew (Danny Arbaugh) Kelly of Columbus, Ohio, and Sarah (Liz) Kelly of Cedarville, Ohio; and her beloved grandchildren, Gavin Wurm and Elijah Kelly. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Throughout her life, Anna had a deep appreciation for beauty and creativity. She was especially passionate about art and enjoyed working with pen and ink, pastels, and at times watercolor. Her artistic talents were just one of the many ways she expressed her curiosity and appreciation for the world around her.

Anna also loved to travel, particularly enjoying cruises through the Caribbean. One of her most memorable recent adventures was a trip to Alaska in September, a journey she treasured.
Professionally, Anna worked as a quality inspector in several area manufacturing facilities.

She worked at Winzeler Stamping in Montpelier from 1979 to 1994. Later, she worked at Raymond Tool & Gauge in Montpelier, where she served as a Quality Manager before retiring in 2013 after many years of dedicated service.

Family and friends will be received Wednesday, March 18, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Homes in Montpelier. A private interment will take place at a later date at Riverside Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Assistance of Williams County.
Anna will be remembered for her creativity, strength, and the deep love she had for her family.

Her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Condolences can be left at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com.
