Anita J. Eicher, 71 of Alvordton, OH passed away Monday January 22, 2018 in her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Indianapolis, IN on August 25, 1946 to Richard B. and Mildred M. (Schaffer) Faulhaber. She lived and worked on her parent’s farm and graduated from Edon High School in 1964. On December 12, 1965 she married Donald L. Eicher in Edon, OH; he survives.

She was an 8-year member of the 4-H Spic and Span club and attended Camp Palmer as both a camper and later as a counselor. She worked for 35 ½ years for Newcomer, Shaffer, Spangler and Breininger in the real estate title department. She was the co-chairman of the original Williams Co. Diabetic Club and attended the current Williams Co. Support Group. She worked as a Board of Elections poll worker and was a member of a bowling team for years. She was also a member of the Nite Owls Camping Club for 45 years.

She enjoyed life everyday with off the wall humor and puns. She loved chatting with all sorts of people with a goal of making them smile.
She loved making all different types of crafts, reading, baking, and decorating wedding cakes and sugar cookies. She loved working in the kitchen and cooking for her family and friends. She supported the Cookie Walk for Cancer for several years. She also enjoyed working on construction projects such as helping with the addition of her house, helping Don put up the barn and helping two of her children build their homes. She loved throwing horseshoes and cornhole; but most of all she enjoyed the time she spent with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 52+ years, Donald, three children, Kevin (Karol) Eicher, of Seguin, TX; Brian (Beth) Eicher, of Edon, OH; and April (Kevin) Kerrick, of Gouldsboro, PA. She was blessed with eight grandsons: Cody (Megan) Eicher, Alex (Ashley) Eicher, Joseph (Devan Penshorn) Eicher, Zane Eicher, Cort Eicher, Gage Eicher, Hunter Kerrick, and Jacob Kerrick. She has three great granddaughters, Kendall Eicher, Jade Eicher and Karoline Eicher. Also surviving are her sisters Margaret (Dan) Miller, Julianna (Paul) Ruble and Rozetta (Matthew) Luke and 8 neices and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Mildred Faulhaber.

A celebration of life visitation will be held at the Pioneer Community Center on Friday, January 26 from 3-7 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Williams County Humane Shelter or Sarah’s Friends in Bryan. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Thompson Funeral Home.
