Anna L. Buda, 90, of Bryan passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at her home surrounded by family and friends.

She was born on December 23, 1931, in Farmer, Ohio, to Wallace H. and Florence E. (Bayes) Buda.

She graduated from Bryan High School in 1949, meeting regularly with her “Forty-Niner” classmates until 2020. From the time she was a high school senior, Anna worked at the Aro/Ingersoll Rand Corporation in Bryan, retiring after 54 years in 2002, working in the cost accounting department.

Her Christian faith was important. As a dedicated, active member at West Bethesda Presbyterian Church in Montpelier, Anna served as the church treasurer, choir member, organist, and pianist for many years.

She was also active in the Presbyterian Women’s Association and as a Sunday school teacher.

Music held a special place in her heart as well as reading, history and researching genealogy. She showed her love to her family through her special recipes, breads, birthday cakes, cookies, and mints.

Anna also communicated love to her family through writing letters and attending family gatherings.

Anna is survived by her first cousin, Roena Bayes, and her nieces and nephews: Daniel Buda, Ronald Buda, Julie (Robert) Courtney, Linda (Dr. Philip) Diller, Patricia Buda, Margaret Buda, Aaron (Biff) Buda, Elaine Buda, David (Caroline) Buda and Christy Buda; 19 great nieces and nephews and 12 great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Bob B., Charles W., and Ned G. Buda, sisters-in-law Pauline (Bob) Buda and Donna (Ned) Buda, and nephews Perry (Elaine) Buda and Mark (Christy) Buda.

Visitation hours for Anna will be on Thursday, September 8, 2022, from 3-7 pm at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier. Services will be on Friday at 11 am at West Bethesda Presbyterian Church in Montpelier with Reverend Mary Beth McCandless officiating. Interment will follow at Farmer Cemetery in Farmer, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to West Bethesda Presbyterian Church and the Williams County Humane Society. Condolences can be shared with the family at www.thethompsonfuneralhome.com
