ARCHBOLD BOARD OF EDUCATION: School Board Discusses Financial Situation

SCHOOL … Archbold Board Of Education approved two one-year contracts at special meeting.

Archbold Area Schools Board of Education held a special meeting on September 12 in the High School Media Center, for the purpose of approving personnel matters as well as conduct a financial work session. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. followed by a roll call of all members.

Following the approval of the agenda, Archbold School Board moved to approve personnel recommendations.

A one-year contract for Victoria Burkhart as elementary playground aide for the current school year effective August 22.

Mason Miller was accepted as a student worker for the 2022-2023 school year, effective August 25.

The board entered into a financial work session to review and deficit a five-year forecast, property tax versus income tax and the process for each.


Also discussed was the Nexus and Rover pipeline appeal status, the levy history of the school district, and the timeline of submitting resolution for levies in the 2022-2023 calendar year, along with some comparable data.

During the next scheduled regular meeting on September 19, the Board will schedule a meeting to discuss and review data.
