It started off a little rocky for Archbold Blue Streaks’ Boys Soccer team when they faced Columbia Station Columbia in a show down that would leave the victor crowned the Regional Champion.  Down 1-0 at half time, it became important for the Streaks to change the momentum in the second half.

And change the momentum, they did.

Just barely into the second half of the match up, Lucas Yoder found A.J. Short to score the tying goal.  With a little less than 17 minutes left in the game, Jack Fisher connected with Josh Kidder for the go ahead, taking the score to 2-1.  Josh Kidder would seal the game with one game that would lead the Streaks to seal the Regional Championship with a 3-1 score.

The game marks another milestone for the Blue Streaks, who finished their regular season with a 19-2 record and 5-0 in the NWOAL.  The wins have led them to a list of championship titles to claim in 2015 – NWOAL Champions, Sectional Champions, District Champions, and Regional Champions… and only two more wins needed to add State Champions to their resume.

The team will take on Canfield South Range for the first of these two games as they head to Sandusky High School on November 11 for State Semi-Final play.  A victory that night will lead the Streaks to the State Championship Final game.
