The Archbold High School FCCLA service club, which is supported by Archbold Rotary, is once again participating in the Yellow Ribbon campaign fundraiser the week of the Archbold vs. Liberty Center football game (September 9-13).

The Yellow Ribbon symbolizes suicide awareness and prevention. All money raised by the two schools will be given to the Four County Suicide Prevention Coalition to support teenage programming that promotes suicide education and awareness to encourage young people to seek help and prevent youth suicide.

This year’s Yellow Ribbon campaign will include a school donut sale, distribution of suicide awareness materials to students and staff at Archbold, and a bake sale duel between Archbold and Liberty Center at the football game.

Archbold’s FCCLA-coordinated events have out-fundraised Liberty Center for each of the three years that this campaign has been held.

Rotarians and community members who wish to support the FCCLA campaign can do either of the following: Make generous free-will donations at the AHS baked goods table at the Friday, September 13 football game or make a donation before the game with a check payable to the Archbold Academic Boosters with a notation that it is for the “Yellow Ribbon fund-raiser.”

These donations should be sent to Archbold High School, 600 Lafayette St., Archbold, Ohio 43502 so that it arrives before the game and can be counted in the final tally.
