ARCHBOLD – Bluestreak soccer standout Leah McQuade signed a letter of intent recently to further her education and play collegiate soccer at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana.

“I chose Taylor University because as soon as I visited the campus it felt like home”, commented McQuade, who plans to study Elementary / Special Education.

“Everyone I interacted with on campus was so loving and welcoming. Taylor is a small faith-based college which is exactly what I’ve always wanted.”

“I visited a couple other schools, but Taylor felt like a good Christian Community to be a part of.

McQuade earned all-league honors three times during her career including being named NWOAL Player of the Year this past season on top of 1st Team NWOAL, 1st Team All-District and 2nd Team All-State in Division III.

“I think the most important lessons I learned was that relationships with teammates and learning how to be unified and work together are more important experiences than winning”, added the Archbold senior.

“Also, I was really ill as a junior and missed several soccer and basketball games and realized that I should not take my ability to play for granted.”
