The male Athlete of the Week is Montpelier basketball player Hayden Sharps. Last Saturday in the Division VII district final at Bryan High School, Sharps pumped in 24 points, including 11 of Montpelier’s 18 in the fourth quarter, as Montpelier pulled away to beat Miller City, 71-56.
