Area Bowlers Do Battle At Division II Boys Sectional; Delta’s Brody Waugh Advances To Districts

NAPOLEON, OHIO-It was the boys turn on Saturday, February 13th to compete for the right to advance to districts as they converged on River City Bowl-A-Way for the Division II sectional.

Napoleon, Van Wert, and Liberty Center took the top three spots in the team standings to move on while Delta’s Brody Waugh placed fifth overall to grab on the individual qualifier positions.


The Delta freshman had games 253, 189, and 214 for a 656 series to lead Delta to a tenth-place team finish. Bryan was the top finishing team from Williams and Fulton County as they placed fifth led by a 575 series from Matt Meade. Dominic Boothman was next for the Golden Bears with a 574 and Zane Laurin added a 569.

Ethan Shively led Evergreen to a ninth-place total of 3,541 with games of 211, 155, and 232 for a 598 series. David Fuller fired a 535 and Logan Fox added a 508 for the Vikings.

Wauseon came home 11th led by a 560 from Aidan Teal and Swanton rounded out the NWOAL contingent by placing 12th topped by a 521 from Marty Mosher.


The Division II District Tournament will take place on Wednesday, February 17th  at Westgate Lanes in Lima starting at 10am.
