There are a variety of summer festivals that local communities hold each year.
The village of Stryker is planning its Stryker Summerfest for June 1 this year. They have a great many activities happening from early morning (7:00 a.m.) breakfast into the evening with a performance of the Mojo Doyle band from 7:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. There will be activities for children, a parade at 11 a.m., a beer tent for the adults, Bingo, a truck and motorcycle show, and even an adult and kiddie pedal pull. There will also be a 5K Run/2K Walk at 8:00 a.m.

June 7-8 There will be a Gathering in Unity, at the Memorial Park West Unity Ohio. The Gathering features a car show, tractor pulls and tractor show, chicken barbecue, vendors, crafters, food, kids games, inflatables and more.
Montpelier will hold its annual Bean Days festival this year on July 19th and 20th. One of the features will be a Bean Days 5K Run/Walk and a One Mile Kids Fun Walk. Sponsored by the Montpelier Firefighters Association, the event will begin with registration at 7:30 a.m., the 5K Run/Walk starts at 8:00 a.m, and the One Mile Kids Fun Walk will begin at 8:30 a.m. A registration form can be found online at: http://www.montpelieroh.net/pdf/2013_5k_Registration.pdf.
Bryan’s Jubilee will be held June 18 – 22. The parade will take place on June 22, 2013, at 5:30 p.m. with the theme“Something Groovy About Bryan.” Following that event will be the Day in the Park on June 29 with fireworks that evening.

The Fayette Bull Thistle Arts Festival has will be held on August 2. It is a one-day festival that takes place on the first Saturday in August. Activities include a parade followed by entertainment, food, arts & crafts and games in the park. The night concludes with a fireworks display at Harrison Lake.
A fairly recent event, the World’s Longest Yard Sales on State Route 127 will attract bargain hunters on August 1-4.
Though considered a fall event, the Williams County Fair which will be held this year from September 7 – 14th is technically a summer event.
