The Stryker Rotary Club learned about a new art gallery in Montpelier called “Art Space” where you can view and purchase works from artists and artisans from the tri-state area. Many who have visited Art Space have been surprised to find works from people they know personally but were unaware of the talents they possessed. Chris Kannel, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Williams County Arts Council, made the presentation to the club. Chris brought a few examples of the work found at Art Space for Rotary Members to enjoy. He also told us that both the Bryan Hospital and Medical Center have purchased and display works from Art Space. These works are displayed throughout both facilities, and have been appreciated by many who visit. At the present time 29 artists have works on display in the gallery. Art Space is located in downtown Montpelier and is open on Monday, Friday and Saturday. They also host an open mic night every third Tuesday evening. Chris Kannel on the right spoke as a guest of Stryker Rotary Member Steve Planson.
