PRESS RELEASE – The Museum of Fulton County near Wauseon, Ohio, is pleased to announce the launch of the “Artful Academy at the Museum,” offering a diverse array of art classes for students of all ages. Classes will be offered at the museum on Thursdays throughout the winter.
The new exhibit-inspired art lessons are designed to engage and inspire students of all ages. During the hands-on classes, instructor Ms. Lindsee will offer a bite-sized history art lesson for all ages.
Morning and afternoon art classes are slated for every Thursday at the museum throughout February and March. The morning session will be held from 10:30-11:30 a.m. for students ages 5-10. An afternoon session will be held for students ages 11 and up from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
The art classes planned for February include a variety of history topics and art mediums. The class subjects for February are “Carving and
Sculpting Native American Tools” on February 6 and “Shadow Portraits” on February 13. On February 20 the class will focus on trains and the class on February 27 will be tied to the new “We the People” exhibit with a focus on learning about culture, foods and art.

The $20 registration fee includes all supplies and admission to the museum on the day of the class.

To celebrate the “We the People of Fulton County” exhibit and the upcoming 175th birthday of Fulton County, many other unique events have been planned throughout 2025.
Upcoming events include Murder on the New York Central on March 22, Dining on the Orient Express on April 26, and a Mother’s Day Tea on May 10.
