The Fulton County Board of Developmental Disabilities is pleased to announce that Judge Bumb has appointed Diana Mundhenk of Fayette, to serve on the Board of the Board of DD. Mundhenk replaces Tracy Kuhlman of Archbold, who resigned in July, after six years of service to the Board of DD. The Board of DD is a seven member board with two members appointed by the Senior Probate Judge and five members appointed by the County Commissioners. Board members serve for four year terms. Williams County’s August (not seasonally adjusted) rate was 4.1 percent, tied for 63rd highest in the state. Fulton County was 4.0 (67th). Other counties in the region showed similar results. Defiance was 4.4, Henry 4.2, Lucas 4.9 and Wood .0. Mercer County had the lowest at 3.0 percent, while Monroe was the highest at 9.0. At a recent committee meeting, it was learned German Township opposes the shift. Tetra Tech was to have completed the feasibility study by Sept. 13 and is working on designs for ditches and pavement. The village’s Finance Committee has been working with developers on ways to promote residential construction. Fire Chief Danny Fackler informed the Village Council about residents getting notices of their fire insurance rates rising. Madison officials have so far refused to sign a new service contract and will not tell Pioneer the reason why. That means come the New Year, Pioneer won’t go beyond its borders, Fackler said. “We will no longer subsidize Madison Township,” Fackler said. Kimberly Stuckey spoke to the Stryker Rotary Club about her “gold project” in Girl Scouts. Kimberly is a member of the Girl Scout Club in West Unity. Kimberly’s project has several phases of which some have been completed. She did landscaping work in several areas around the village.
