Bette Jean Kohv, age 60 of Archbold, passed away Friday, November 2, 2018 at Hospice of Defiance after a very brief battle with ovarian cancer.
She was born May 31, 1958 in Wauseon, the daughter of Emerson and Ilva (Nafziger) King. She married Martin A. Kohv on January 19, 1980. A life-long resident of Archbold,
Bette worked as church secretary for St. Martin’s Lutheran church, secretary for Lauber Group, secretary for Wyse Insurance, and most recently, as owner of the Scrapbook Korner, Archbold. She enjoyed sewing, scrapbooking, crafting, reading, and spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Archbold.
She is survived by her mother, Ilva King, Archbold, husband Martin A. Kohv, Archbold, daughter Michelle (Chad) Kruse, Ridgeville Corners, son Martin E. (Kelly Carey) Kohv, Archbold, grandchildren Carter and Kennedy Kruse, and sister Cheryl (Dan) Storrer, Archbold. She was preceded in death by her father, Emerson King.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 6, at 11 AM at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church, Archbold Ohio, with Pastor Paul Richert officiating. Friends may call at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church from 2-8 pm on Monday, November 5.
The family suggests that memorials be given to CHP In-Patient Hospice or Fulton County Christmas Cheer.
