The Boy Scouts of America – Black Swamp Area Council is proud to announce their annual Scouting for Food Campaign, taking place Saturday, March 2nd, to Saturday, March 9th, 2024.

Here’s how you can help:

  1. 1.Look out for a door hanger: On Saturday, March 2nd, Scouts will deliver door hangers informing residents about the drive and encouraging them to donate non-perishable food items.
  2. Gather your donations: Please consider donating canned goods, pasta, cereal, peanut butter, or other non-perishable items in unopened and unexpired condition.
  3. Leave your donation outside: On Saturday, March 9th, starting at 9 am, Scouts will return to collect the bags you’ve placed outside your door.
  4. No door hanger? No problem! If you haven’t received a door hanger but still wish to contribute, you can drop off your donation bag at your local food pantry.
  5. Reusable bags appreciated: To minimize waste, we encourage you to place your donations in a reusable bag.  Local food pantries will be able to use these bags again.

We wouldn’t be able to do this without the support of our generous sponsors: Chief, Community Markets, Great Scott Community Markets.
