A Paulding County jury needed only three hours to return two verdicts of guilty of murder against Bradley Gillespie, 43 of Defiance. Each count included a gun specification.
The charges stemmed from the February murders of 2013 Montpelier High School graduate Hannah E. Fischer, 21, and her boyfriend, Frank Tracy Jr., 47, whose bodies were found in Paulding County. Fischer’s body had been found on February 9 in an apartment in Paulding; Tracy’s on March 15 in Rochester Cemetery. Authorities had been looking for Tracy since the time Fischer’s body had been found.
Gillespie could face as much as 15 years to life on each of the murder charges and one additional year for each gun specification. The actual sentencing, as well as whether or not those sentences will be served concurrently or consecutively, will be determined at the sentencing proceedings. The date for those proceedings was not yet available at the time this article was written.
Defense attorneys for Gillespie will have 30 days after sentencing to file any appeal.
