“Breakfast on the Farm” was one of 24 “County Activities of Excellence” (CAE) award recipients for this year’s American Farm Bureau Federation’s Annual Convention and IDEAg Trade Show in Orlando, FL this January.
Breakfast on the Farm, a collaborative effort between the Fulton County Farm Bureau, OSU Extension and Soil and Water Conservation District hosted over 3000 guests and 300 volunteers at Sandland Farms, Inc., for an educational, hands-on farm tour in Swanton, Ohio in June of 2015.
The coordinating entities were invited to display information about the event at the conference. Eric Richer, OSU Extension noted that many of the convention attendees stopped by the booth to ask how the event was coordinated, who the target audience was and what the impact outcomes were. “Thanks to Sandland Farms, the sponsors, the planning committee and all the volunteers for making Breakfast on the Farm possible!”
Congressman Latta visits Triangular Processing
Congressman Bob Latta recently toured Triangular Processing to learn first-hand about the services and community partnerships that they provide. Latta, visited with employees, and administration while discussing upcoming challenges and changes that are occurring in the industry.
