 (Formerly Of Swanton)

Brian Patrick Herrin, age 39, formerly of Swanton, passed away unexpectedly, on August 3, 2023 at his Rossford home.

He was born in Toledo on April 30, 1984 to the late Cynthia (Cole) Tipping. Brian graduated from Swanton High School in 2003. For the last 13 years, he worked for Hiab as a crane installation technician.

Brian loved everything nature; especially camping with his family, hunting, and fishing. He also was an avid collector of exotic animals, including snakes, spiders and other reptiles.

Brian was a member of Ohio Fish Rescue. Above all, he loved his family and children, spending as much time with them as possible, while introducing them to the wonderful gifts nature provided.

Brian is survived by his fiancée, Lisa Johnson; children, Jayden and Jordyn Herrin; brothers, Vernon (Pamela) Pinson III of Swanton, Jeffery (Emily) Pinson of Liberty Center, Christopher (Brianna) Herrin of Swanton and a loving “Uncle Brian” to his nieces and nephews.

Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Tipping; grandparents, Willo and Robert Cole; nephew, Darren Pinson and cousins, Michael and Tracy Cole.

Friends and family will be received from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Barnes Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta.  A funeral service honoring Brian’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 also at the funeral home. Pastor Chuck Whitmire will be officiating. Interment will follow at Swanton Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing a show of sympathy are asked to consider contributions to the family; care of Jeffery Pinson to help with the future education of Brian’s children.

Online condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.barnesfuneralchapel.com.
