Just outside of West Unity on Friday August 4, 2023, there was quite a commotion happening just off of the Ohio Turnpike.
The Ohio Turnpike makes an effort to routinely show appreciation for those that choose to travel via the turnpike by hosting customer appreciation events.

This specific appreciation event was at Indian Meadow Service Plaza, where the impressive station served as a venue for hot dogs and other lunch items, complimentary shaved ice, safety demonstrations, and chances to win $25 gas cards courtesy of 7-Eleven.

Ohio Turnpike employee Meghan Gallagher was there sharing road safety information, and Williams County Health Department representative Katie Brown was present to give car seat safety demonstrations.
Representatives from the Ohio State Highway Patrol were out enjoying the sunshine, and Lt. Rick Reeder and Sgt. Devon Black were inside the station showing attendees one of their top cruisers.

As Ohio Turnpike Director of Marketing and Communications Public Information Officer Charles Cyrill shared, these events serve as “an opportunity to express gratitude to our loyal customers” as well as provide “a fun, relaxed, and engaging opportunity to meet with travelers and local residents.”
