Brian T. Smith, age 62, of Archbold, Ohio passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at University of Toledo Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio.

He was born on September 9, 1960 to Theodore J. and Madonna I. (Mueck) Smith in Toledo, Ohio.

Brian attended Macomber High School for a time, then transferred to Woodward High School, where he graduated.

His career was mainly in landscaping and park maintenance with the City of Toledo, although after moving to Archbold Ohio, he worked for the Manufacturing Company, Sanoh America Inc.

Brian enjoyed anything to do with plants, trees and flowers.

He tended to his yard and flower beds meticulously, as well as helping others with their yards.  He was an avid NASCAR fan, attending many races at Michigan International Speedway.

He owned and enjoyed riding Harley Davison Motorcycles over the years.

Brian always enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, trapping and as a child and young man camping with the family in almost every Province in Canada.

He also enjoyed visiting his sister in Florida and being able to take a few trips recently to Negril, Jamaica, Key West, Florida and Put in Bay, Ohio before the decline in his health.

He will be remembered for his great sense of humor – sarcastic as it was, he could always make you laugh.

Brian leaves behind his siblings…David Smith (Holly), Kristal Stone (Ric Cutlip), Eric Smith (Gail), Daughters: Jade and Kasey, Special Friend Jennifer Smith, Nieces: Heather Bartlett, Hope Smith and Erica Smith, Nephews: Joshua Smith, Jared Stone, Jacob Stone and Alex Smith, to whom he was Godfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

At Brian’s request a private Celebration of Life will be held for his immediate family and close friends.  Information on this has yet to be determined.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Toledo Botanical Gardens through www.metroparkstoledo.com/get-involved/donate/

The Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon has been entrusted with arrangements.
