The Thursday morning, March 18, 2021 Williams County Commissioners sessions, with Commissioner Brian Davis absent, opened with the passage of:
•Resolution 106 Supplemental Appropriation on behalf of WC Juvenile Court
•Resolution 107 Hereby fixing April 15, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. for Final Hearing for Ditch #738
•Resolution 108 Entering into a Contract Extension with Bitni on behalf of WC Job and Family Services
•Resolution 109 Entering into a Clinical Agreement with CHWC on behalf of WC EMS
•Resolution 110 Entering into a Joint letter of agreement under PY 2020 CHIP Program with Habitat for Humanity, Williams County
•Resolution 111 Entering into an agreement for Technical Assistance for Grant #B-W-2-1DA-1

Clerk Anne Retcher gave the commissioners an update regarding the asbestos testing. “Brian spoke to Terry from Toledo Environmental who tested the asbestos,” Retcher said, “and he informed him that there are traces of asbestos in the Hearing Room plaster, but not in the paint.”
“The plaster in the Conference Room is a different material with no asbestos. So, you will need to review and discuss on how you want to move forward.”

Commissioner Terry Rummel reported that he spoke with Brent Wilson and “he has a couple new jets coming into the airport and they are looking for hanger space.”
“He is looking for grant money to possibly come up with some way to put up a new hanger out at the airport so that is going be a future topic of discussion for us.”
Commissioners Lew Hilkert and Terry Rummel went into Executive Session, following a recess, with County Prosecutor Katie Zartman to discuss compensation of personnel.
No action was taken following the Executive Session and the Bid Opening for Project 3-2021- Bridge/Culvert Replacement began with Dan Clum and John Waterston. The following bids were opened: Bryan Excavating, Bryan, Ohio $367,269; RG Zachrich Construction, Defiance, Ohio $431,146; and Vernon Nagel, Napoleon, Ohio $384,356.
With no further business, the morning sessions adjourned at 11:08.
