BRYAN BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS: BMU’s Jay Zigler Congratulated By BPA On Retirement

RETIREMENT … BMU’s Jay Zigler was wished nothing but the best retirement has to offer by members of the Bryan Board of Public Affairs before the meeting adjourned.

The Bryan Board of Public Affairs met on June 20, 2023 at 5 p.m. with the pledge of allegiance, then starting with the approval of the minutes of their June 6, 2023 meeting as presented.

They then heard the clerk / treasurer’s report for the month of May, accepting all details as presented.


A resolution allowing for the submission of U.S. Dept. of Energy grant applications for the hydroelectric plant was then carried unanimously.

A resolution authorizing a “then and now” purchase to certify that adequate funds are available for a purchase order that will be applied to the 2023 budget.

Then approved was a motion to approve the bills as presented before the Board made their closing comments, most congratulating Jay Zigler on his recent retirement.

The Bryan Board of Public Affairs then adjourned the meeting.
