JOB DUTIES … The Kiwanis Club of Bryan welcomed John Harrington and Gary Mohre as guest speakers at its May 21, 2025 meeting. Mr. Harrington and Mr. Mohre are employed with the Juvenile & Probate Divisions of the Williams County Court of Common Pleas. Mr. Harrington is a Probation Officer and Mr. Mohre is a Diversion Officer. They provided the group with an overview of their duties as well as the myriads of programs within their offices. They explained how juvenile cases come to them and the different paths that are taken to work with the youth and their family to successfully resolve those issues. They work in partnership with various community-based treatment centers as well as residential facilities. Their mandate is to ensure that the orders of the Court are followed with a successful outcome resulting in responsibility and accountability for the youth and all parties involved.
