A sparse crowd attended the annual auction and tag sale put on by the Bryan Rotary Club as most participants stayed home and listened to it on the radio. The event at the MacDonald-Ruff Ice Arena brought out a few people to bid on items ranging from Ohio State football game tickets to gift certificates to area businesses. The goal was to raise money for the Williams County Family YMCA capital campaign. This was the 36th year the Rotarians held the fundraiser. The event generally raises between $20,000 and $30,000, co-chair Melissa Rupp said. WBNO aired the auction with personalities talking about the items up for bid and the current bids. Adam Freels was the other co-chair. Items and prizes were donated by club members and the general public.
