AIRPORT VISIT … The Bryan Rotary Club went on the road to the Williams County Regional Airport for their weekly meeting. Manager of Operations, Brent Wilson shared an overview of the activities of the airport. Wilson has been flying for twenty years and holds an Airline Transport Pilot Certification and flies three jets and a twin Cessna Aircraft. The airport was built in 1964 when Governor James Rhodes declared that every county in Ohio should have an airport. Williams County is a regional airport because it has the largest runway between Toledo and Fort Wayne. This brings in more income. The new enlarged hanger is two years old with offices and a pilot’s lounge. Last year the estimated economic impact of the airport to the area was 4.9 million dollars with approximately 4,000 landings and take offs. Pictured is speaker Brent Wilson and Rotarian Jenny Horn.
