THE VILLAGE REPORTER

Students in grades 7-12 at Bryan City Schools could soon learn about fly fishing.

Robert Lakes gave a presentation May 16 about the Fly Angling Club he would like to start. The club would provide opportunities for students to see and experience the outdoors, study water systems and learn about fly fishing.

Lakes would set up rules for attendance which would relate to a student’s opportunities to take short trips with the club. The district would not need to provide any funds to operate the club as grant money would be obtained for the purchase of equipment, supplies, etc.

The district is looking to expand parking at its fieldhouse and is looking for bids from area contractors.

The Board of Education approved a resolution to advertise the project May 16. Sealed bids will be received by the board in its office until 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, when they will be opened and read, for the Field House Parking Expansion at 1350 Fountain Grove Drive, Bryan, Ohio 43506, in accordance with the drawings and specifications prepared by Beilharz Architects, Inc.

The board accepted the following donations:
$11,630 from Athletic Boosters to BHS Athletic Department for uniforms and equipment (Girls soccer, football, basketball, volleyball)
