Cancer Biology Research 3rd Annual Rail Yard Run To Take Place In Montpelier November 9

MONTPELIER. The 3rd annual Rail Yard Run will be held to benefit Cancer and Biology Research for the University of Toledo Foundation. The race will be held at the Williams County Fairgrounds on November 9. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Foundation. The event is meant to improve health and awareness in the community. Registration for the race will be held from 8:00 – 8:45. The run will commence at 9:00, with the kids race beginning at 8:30.

The event will include a 5 K run/walk (3.1 miles,) along with a new event this year, a 1 mile fun walk. Interested participants may pre-register for the event or may register on the day of the race. Entrance fee for the event on the day of the race is $20.00 and day of race T Shirts will be given on a first come first serve basis.

Awards will be given to the overall top male and female runners as well as an award to the “masters” 50 year old and up participants. For the kid’s race, awards will be given for the top 3 runners in both boys and girls divisions. The top 3 walkers in the race will also receive an award. Age categories for the race will be 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 years old and up.
