(PRESS RELEASE) The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred at the intersection of US 20A and Co. Rd. 3 in Swan Creek Township at around 9:46pm on September 20, 2024.
A black 2013 Chevy Suburban. was traveling northbound on Co. Rd. 3 approaching the stop sign at US 20A.
A maroon 2006 Honda Motorcycle was traveling eastbound on US 20A approaching Co. Rd. 3.
The Suburban failed to yield. for oncoming traffic and entered the intersection, striking the motorcycle.
The operator of the motorcycle, 30-year-old Micheal Lech of Delta, OH, was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The operator of the Suburban, 31-year-old Craig Hiltz, Jr. of Bowling Green, OH, was uninjured from the crash.
The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted. on scene by the Swanton Fire and Rescue Division, Swanton Police Department, and the Ohio Department of Transportation.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash. This crash remains under investigation.
