WAUSEON – Wauseon used a first quarter touchdown and stout defense to improve to 2-0 in the NWOAL after slugging out a 7-3 win over Evergreen.

Kahle Albright connected with Wyatt Smith on a 38-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter to give the Indians an early 7-0 lead and ended up being all the offense Wauseon would need.

Albright accounted for 191 of Wauseon’s 280 yards of offense on the night as he rushed for 88 on 16 carries and went 6/14 passing for 103 yards. Smith had three catches for 88 yards and a touchdown.

Evergreen’s points came on a 34-yard field goal by Alex Mossing in the second quarter as the Vikings were limited to 151 yards of offense, paced by Matt Mossing who ran 72 yards on 16 carries.
