A Christmas Market set up shop in Lyons over the past weekend. The event was held at the Friendship Hall located at 138 East Morenci Street and was open to the community.

The market featured local artisans who showcased their handmade products, providing an opportunity for community members to discover and support local businesses.

One of the event’s organizers, Lindsay Daniels, expressed that they intended for the market to be more than just a craft show.

This is why the event offered a range of activities, including baked goods, hot drinks, live music, food trucks, and a chance to take pictures with Santa.

Daniels also shared that she and Heather Schimmel, the pastor at Lyons Christian Church, worked together to organize the event starting from September.

They collaborated with the town and the church to make the event a reality, which resulted in a great turnout. Hundreds of people attended the event, which was a successful first-time run.

The organizers hope that the support will continue to grow, making the event an annual tradition.
