EDON – Big guys are supposed to be paint pounders…they aren’t supposed to be playing around with guards outside the arch. Apparently, somebody forgot to get that memo to Cole Burkholder.
Burkholder went off for a game-high 21 points, nine of which came from downtown as his Fayette Eagles swatted down the Edon Bombers in The Hangar on December 6, 45-29. The win marked the 100th victory for Coach Todd Mitchell at the helm of the Eagles.
Backing Burkholder was Logan Franks with 8 points for the Eagles, with Chandler Sanford adding 7 points, Tyler Cox 5 and Zayne Colegrove 4 points.
Mike Peeples and Kaden Sapp led the Boys in Bomber Blue with 9 points apiece, with River Wicker getting 6 points, Brock Thiel 2 and Jacob Brown one point.
