Crash Seriously Injures Bicyclist Outside Montpelier

11069885-largeThe Defiance Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a hit-skip crash which occurred on State Route 107 near State Route 15 between 0110 and 0126 hours. Troy L. Presnell of 213 West Washington St. Montpelier, Ohio, age 50, was eastbound on a bicycle when he was struck from behind. The other vehicle then left the scene.

Mr. Presnell, was transported to Montpelier Hospital and then air lifted to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with serious injuries.

If anyone has information about the crash or the identity of the driver of the other vehicle, they are encouraged to contact the Defiance Patrol Post at (419) 784-1025.
