VARSITY

Wauseon 45 Bryan 33

Wauseon took control of the game in the fourth quarter with a 14-4 advantage as they knocked off Bryan in the championship game of the Grube Family Holiday Classic. Bryan (2-5) was able to take an early lead thanks to Titus Rohrer who scored 13 of his game-high 20 points in the opening quarter to give the Bears a 13-9 lead.


The Indians (6-1) were paced in scoring by Connar Penrod with 14 and Jonas Tester added 13.

Antwerp 58 Edgerton 29

Antwerp stretched a 12-8 lead after the first quarter into a 29-12 lead at the break in a 58-29 win over the Bulldogs. Noah Landel tallied nine points to lead the Edgerton (0-2, 0-1 in GMC) scoring.

Archbold 50 Pettisville 36


DJ Newman led a balanced scoring attack for Archbold with 11 points to help the Bluestreaks hand Pettisville their first loss of the season. The Blackbirds held a slim 25-24 lead at halftime before Archbold started the third quarter on a 12-0 run to take the lead for good.

Alex Roth added 10 points for Archbold (4-3), who shot 50% from the floor and outrebounded Pettisville 24-15. Cayden Jacoby topped the Blackbirds (3-1) with 17 points.

Evergreen 48 St. Thomas Aquinas 43

Evergreen broke an 11-11 tie after the opening quarter with a 14-6 second quarter as they picked up the win at the Wayne Roller Holiday Classic in Mansfield, Ohio. Bekah Bowser had 17 points to lead the Vikings and Morgan Foster added 10.

Perrysburg 55 Archbold 51

Facing a 41-34 deficit starting the final quarter, Perrysburg (4-1) stormed back with 21-10 advantage in the fourth to get the win at Archbold (4-6). Addi Ziegler tallied 16 points to lead Archbold while Kylie Sauder added 11.

Wauseon 45 Patrick Henry 35

The Indians closed the game 6/9 in the fourth quarter from the foul line to defeat Patrick Henry in the semifinals of the Napoleon Holiday Tournament. Wauseon’s Marisa Seiler registered 21 points to lead all scorers and Autumn Pelok added 12, including 5/6 at the line in the final quarter.

Liberty Center 50 Swanton 37

A fast start by the Tigers was the difference as they led 13-4 after one quarter and 27-12 at halftime on their way to winning the championship of the Bob Fisher Holiday Classic. Liberty Center put three players in double figures led by Cassidy Chapa with 12 while Peyton Armey and Samantha Engler had 10 each. Aricka Lutz netted 13 points to lead the Swanton (5-4) offense.

Bryan 56 Paulding 36

Bryan wrapped up the game with a 14-2 fourth quarter to remain undefeated on the season and win the Image Pro Holiday Classic championship at Bryan High School. McKendry Semer led the way for Bryan (8-0) with 18 points and Shallyn Miley had 11, 10 of those in the second half.
