Defiance Man Sentenced To Prison For Pandering Sexually Oriented Material

Defiance County Prosecutor Morris Murray has announced that Aaron M. Tatkowski, a 51-year-old Defiance man, was sentenced to 20-22 1/2 years in prison for Four Counts of Pandering Sexually-Oriented Matter Involving a Minor of Impaired Person, each a Felony of the Second Degree.

Aaron M. Tatkowski: age 51 – Guilty pleas to Four Counts of Pandering Sexually-Oriented Matter Involving a Minor or Impaired Person-F2’s and sentenced to a total of 20 – 22 ½ years at ODRC, was classified as a Tier II sex offender requiring registration for a period of 25 years, costs (stayed until defendant is released from ODRC), jail credit for 194 days.

THE FOLLOWING PERSONS WERE BROUGHT BEFORE THE DEFIANCE COUNTY COMMON PLEAS COURT FOR ARRAIGNMENT ON FELONY MATTERS:

Michael L. Forwerck, 52, Not Guilty pleas, OR bond, No contact w/Walmart, pre-trial 8/5/24 @ 11:30 a.m.


Cheryl L. Miller, 43, Not Guilty pleas, OR bond, No Contact Order and TPO, pre-trial 8/8/24 @ 9:45 a.m.

Anthony A. Roberts, 44, Not Guilty pleas, $100,000 cash bond w/10% allowed, pre-trial 8/12/24 @ 2:30 p.m.

Robert G. Mann III, 37, Not Guilty pleas, $50,000 cash bond w/10% allowed, TPO, pre-trial 8/5/24 @ 1:30 p.m.


THE FOLLOWING PERSONS HAVE RECENTLY ENTERED GUILTY OR NO CONTEST PLEAS IN THE DEFIANCE COUNTY COMMON PLEAS COURT:

Brandon A. Moser, 22, Guilty plea to Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs-F4, PSI ordered, sentencing 9/5/24 @ 1:30 p.m.

John I. Ware, 33, Guilty plea to Felonious Assault-F2, PSI ordered, sentencing 8/22/24 @ 10:30 a.m.

Damien P. Bell-age 25-Guilty plea to Disseminating Matter Harmful to Juveniles-F5, PSI ordered, sentencing 8/26/24 @ 9:30 a.m.


PLEA/SENTENCING:

Kyle E. Blackston, 35, No Contest plea to Assault-M1, found Guilty and sentenced to 2 years of probation with 6 months at CCNO suspended in the event of a probation violation, no contact (direct or indirect) with victim, no similar violations, be of general good behavior, Costs. (On February 4, 2024, at his residence on Sierra Way, in Defiance, Blackston caused or attempted to cause physical harm to another.)

Jose A. Suarez, 41, Guilty plea to Aggravated Possession of Drugs-F5 and sentenced to 6 months at ODRC to be served consecutively to Paulding Co. Common Pleas Court Case No. CR24 513, costs (stayed until defendant is released from ODRC), jail credit for 54 days. (On February 6, 2024, at a residence on CR 424, in Sherwood, Suarez was found in possession of Methamphetamine, a Schedule II drug.)

THE FOLLOWING PERSONS HAVE RECENTLY BEEN SENTENCED IN THE DEFIANCE COUNTY COMMON PLEAS COURT:

Jamey L. Davis, 48, Sentenced for Aggravated Possession of Drugs-F5 to 2 years CCS with 12 months at ODRC reserved in the event of a violation of CCS, no bars/alcohol, not obtain/possess/use cannabis or cannabis products, costs, firearm seized and being held by DCSO shall be released to a family member who is legally permitted to possess firearms. (On January 22, 2024, on Biede Ave., in Defiance, Davis was found in possession of Methamphetamine, a Schedule II drug.)

Tristan D. Liechty, 27, Sentenced for Theft-F5 to 1 year CCS with 12 months at ODRC reserved in the event of a violation of CCS, serve 5 months at CCNO, 126 days jail credit, costs. (On March 4, 2024, Liechty stole a license plate belonging to another from a business on SR 18, in Defiance.)

Marlon D. Powell, 32, Sentenced for Improperly Handling Firearms in a Motor Vehicle-F4 to 2 years CCS with 18 months at ODRC reserved in the event of a violation of CCS, no bars/alcohol, not obtain/possess/use cannabis or cannabis products, costs, Defendant’s interest in the firearms, magazines and ammunition seized and being held by DCSO is hereby forfeited. (On November 9, 2023, on US 24, in Defiance, Powell knowingly transported or had a loaded firearm in the motor vehicle with him, in such a manner that the firearm was accessible to the operator or any passenger without leaving the vehicle.)

Justin L. Reyes, 29, Sentenced for Telecommunications Harassment-F5 to 3 years CCS with 12 months at ODRC reserved in the event of a violation of CCS, no contact with victim or victim’s family, costs.

Jaylen R. Rollins, 20, Sentenced for Burglary-F2 to 3 years CCS with 2-8 years at ODRC reserved in the event of a violation of CCS, no bars/alcohol, not obtain/possess/use cannabis or cannabis products, attend and successfully complete the Serenity Haven Program as directed by her Supervising Officer, costs. (On March 7, 2024, Rollins trespassed in an occupied residence on Harrison Ave., in Defiance.)

Roxanne M. Rupp, 41, Sentenced for Theft-F5 to 2 years CCS with 12 months at ODRC reserved in the event of a violation of CCS, no bars/alcohol, not consume or possess cannabis, pay $942.24 in restitution to Midwest Community Federal Credit Union, costs. (On or about June 22, 2023, Rupp stole a credit card belonging to an elderly individual, from a residence on Wyandotte Ave., in Defiance.)
