On January 19th, 2022 at approximately 10:28am Defiance police were dispatched to the Bob Evans restaurant located at 1835 N. Clinton St. in Defiance on a report of a bomb threat.
Upon arriving, officers were informed that a note had been found in a restroom stating that there was a bomb in the building.
The building was evacuated and searched by officers from the Defiance Police Department. No suspicious items were found during the search and the restaurant was reopened.
The incident remains under investigation. Assisting at the scene was the Defiance Fire and Rescue Division.
