Florence Township- The Defiance Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a single vehicle, serious injury crash. The crash occurred on September 21, 2022 at approximately 6:25pm, on County Road 6, Florence Township, Williams County, Ohio.
Danielle Nieto, age 28, of Ottawa, Ohio, was operating a 2002 Ford Explorer northbound on County Road 6. Nieto drove off the right side of the roadway, over corrected and the vehicle overturned.
Nieto sustained serious injuries and was taken by air ambulance to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Nieto did have her safety belt on at the time of the crash.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by Williams County Sheriff’s Office, Montpelier Police Department, Williams County EMS, Florence Township Fire Department, Parkview LifeFlight, and Hutch’s Towing. This crash is still under investigation.
