The Delta Chamber of Commerce will again coordinate this year’s Safety Village. It will be held at Pike Delta York Elementary July 19-23, 2021 from 9:00 am until 11:30 am.
Safety Village provides educational sessions for children entering Kindergarten regarding safety on the bus, playground, stranger-danger, fire hazards, bike riding laws, food safety, pedestrian safety, and much more.
These object lessons are reinforced through song, art, stories, movies, field trips, and guest speakers. In fact, a small scale Village of Delta replica is set up to help the children practice what they have learned.
