December 14, 2015Updated:November 30, 2016No Comments4 Mins Read

Friends of the Library Auction Update
Once again, we report that the auction and luncheon were great successes! Over $5,200 were raised from the auction and the freewill offering luncheon. 240 ticket holders bid on 531 items. Thanks go to the Delta Eagles and Auxiliary who sponsored the turkey sandwiches with their monetary donation, to those who roasted the turkeys and prepared the meat for the sandwiches, to all those who donated salads and desserts, as well as those who carted all the baskets to the Legion for setup, and to everyone who bought tickets! The Friends group and the library staff appreciate all the help that they received in preparing for the fundraising event. Special gratitude goes to Sue and Jim Stoll, Siobahn Beavers, Martin and Marilyn Roth, the Delta American Legion, and everyone who attended. Mark your calendars for next year’s event on November 17, 2016!

Christmas Fun
Children of all ages are invited to join us on Thursday, December 17 at 3:45 p.m. for some holiday bingo. If you know your numbers – you can play! We’ll be using special Christmas-themed cards, and red and green candies for markers. The winners must shout, ‘Merry Christmas’ instead of ‘Bingo’. Don’t forget to bring your Christmas lists, as Santa will be stopping by to say hello on his way back to the North Pole. Parents are welcome to bring cameras to take pictures of their children on Santa’s knee. Santa will arrive around 4:30 for those who don’t want to play bingo.

Christmas Contest
Children in preschool through fourth grade can get into the Christmas spirit by entering our Christmas contest. You will be asked to circle the tree that Ethan has just decorated by reading a set of clues. The first correct answer drawn from the container will win a special prize. All entries will receive a sweet treat!
Toddler Tales
We will take a winter break until storytime begins again on Tuesday, January 5, 2016.
