CRESTON – The upset minded Panthers pushed Creston Norwayne to overtime, but the Bobcats got a field goal on their first overtime possession and then turned Delta away to pull out a 45-42 win.
Delta forced the extra frame on a 34-yard touchdown pass from Emric Friess to Marcus Nagel on 4th-and-4 with one minute left in regulation.
Delta (6-5) amassed 335 yards of total offense led by Landon Lintermoot with 169 yards on 26 carries and a touchdown while Nagel carried 18 times for 81 yards with two touchdowns, to go along with one receiving.
Norwayne’s powerful running attack, which totaled 359 yards on the night, was fronted by Mason Moyer who ran for 314 yards on 27 carries and scored four touchdowns.
