Doris M. Hull, age 97, of Wauseon, passed away peacefully in her home, on Thursday, February 28, 2019.  She was born in Ridgeville Township on November 19, 1921, to the late Clarence and Emma (Mohr) Smith.  On October 28, 1945, she married Harry D. Hull, and he preceded her in death on November 21, 1994.

Doris was a homemaker most of her life; however, she did work at Lauber Manufacturing in Archbold as a rip saw operator prior to her retirement.  In her free time, she enjoyed cross-stitch, embroidery, and baking pies (of which her family says Peanut Butter was her best pie). Doris was a member of St. John’s Christian Church in Archbold, in which she taught Sunday School for many years.

Left to cherish her memory are son, Lamar (Sharon) Hull; daughters, Connie Wilhelm and Karen (Demetrios) Dallis; daughter-in-law, Patsy Hull; eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Jane (Jim) Silcox; sister-in-law, Audrey Smith; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Keith Hull; an infant grandson; an infant great-grandson; and a brother, Don Smith.

Funeral services for Doris will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at St. John’s Christian Church in Archbold, at 10:30 AM.  Pastor Erich Christman will officiate. Interment will follow in the Wauseon Union Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Monday, March 4, 2019, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM, also at St. John’s Christian Church.

Those planning a memorial contribution in Doris’ memory are asked to consider the St. John’s Christian Church. Online condolences to the family may be offered at www.GrisierFH.com.

The Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon is honored with Doris’ care and arrangements.
