The Dover Township Trustees met for their regular session on Monday, February 23, 2026. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance, and the minutes from the previous meeting were approved as presented.
The fiscal officer’s report followed, with a review of monthly mail, fuel usage logs, bank reconciliation, financial reports, current receipts, and the payment listing. Trustees approved payments for the month totaling $111,251.89.
Maintenance matters were addressed next. Trustees reviewed a quote from GT Contracting and approved the installation of gutters on the township building.
Discussion then turned to the creation of a full-time Maintenance Supervisor position. The board adopted Resolution 2026-07 establishing a salary line item in the General Fund-highway-salaries.
Under unfinished business, trustees noted the township had been operating under a temporary appropriation budget. A permanent appropriation budget for 2026 in the amount of $1,156,900 was presented and adopted through Resolution 2026-08. A courtesy letter regarding the Harmon property was also approved.
In new business, trustees reviewed several Fulton County Commissioners’ resolutions of interest and shared property tax flyers obtained at the Ohio Township Association (OTA) Conference.
One trustee completed Certified Public Records Training at the conference and signed as designee for the remaining trustees. The fiscal officer had previously completed the requirement.
Trustees announced their next regular meeting will be held Monday, March 30, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 9:09 p.m.
