DSCF4306 (WEB)Tanner Clingaman told the Srtyker Rotary club about his Eagle Scout project at their regular meeting on Tuesday. He has designed a five foot cube fire pit to be constructed at Knights Landing Park. He provided drawings and pictures of the structure as a part of his presentation. This is the same site several other Stryker Scouts have designed and built Eagle Scout Project.

The fire pit will be constructed of concrete and steel and he estimates the cost of the project to be $1,500. The top of the pit will be one foot above ground level with a fixed grate that will be used for cooking, and include a natural drain in the bottom.

Tanner is seeking donations to help offset the project cost. His project will require the area around the pit to be leveled and seeded. He is expecting to complete the project before summer.
