The Edgerton Village Council met on February 2nd in regular session. Council Member Roger Muehlfeld was not in attendance.

During the meeting Council approved the reclassification of Edgerton Police Officer Jacob Ferrebee from a Probationary Officer to a regular Part-Time Officer. Officer Ferrebee has completed his field training and six months of probation.

Council also approved entering into a contract with Osmose for utility pole inspection and treatment. The company has been utilized by the Village for several years to provide service to the 1,300 poles that are in the Village. Cost of the contract is typically around $15,000 per year.

Finally, Council approved an ordinance approving replacement pages to the Edgerton Codified Ordinances.

This is a yearly action that would officially put all of last year’s ordinances into the codified ordinance while also amending any existing ordinances to comply with State laws.

The next meeting of the Edgerton Village Council will be February 16th.
